Erin Gomez, Assistant Superintendent
Erin Gomez was born in Somerset, NJ and was raised right here in Middlesex. Through Watchung Elementary, Von E. Mauger Middle, and Middlesex High, Erin’s many amazing teachers helped mold her into the educator she is today.
Erin graduated from Middlesex High School in 1999 and attended William Paterson University. Five years after she graduated from MHS, Erin made her way back as a high school English teacher from 2004-2019. While teaching at MHS, Erin ran the school newspaper, coached basketball, coached softball, and during the 2018-2019 school year, was recognized as Teacher of the Year.
In 2018, Erin graduated from Georgian Court University with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and in the summer of 2019, she was appointed District Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction. While at Central Office, Erin has had wonderful opportunities to connect with educators and experts within Middlesex, across the state of NJ, and across the country. With these experiences, she completed the requirements to earn her Chief School Administrator certification and was appointed as the Assistant Superintendent in March of 2023.
None of Erin’s successes would have become a reality without the love and support of the beautiful people in her life: her parents, Sue and Bill; her brother and sister-in-law, Sean and Brooke; her significant other, Paul; her bonus daughter, Samantha; and her incredible son, Braylen.
As Erin continues her career in Middlesex, she is looking forward to being part of the vision to bring our small yet mighty district to magnificent heights!
